iforex.com - Truth revealed

Dear friend,

I am writing this blog to spread awareness about the forex markets and how some so called forex brokers are using this not so much regulated industry to cheat people off their hard earned money.
Let me introduce you with one of such brokers iforex.com.

I am writing this with my personal experience with this forex broker. It all started a couple of months back when I saw a big add on my ymail account drawing my attention towards it. totally unaware of forex industry, curiosity drew me into clicking that ad and that was the moment I curse today and will always be cursing. You will soon get to know why!! Just keep reading.

I clicked on their advertizement which asked me to fill in my personal details one of them being my phone number. The same day I got a call from their call center guy. I will not take the liberty to mention any names here! I was in a coffee shop sipping at my coffee. I thought let me learn a few things about forex markets. So, I allowed his cold call. The guy sound like the forex is the key to be millionaire; and its the silver bullet to be rich even when market is down unlike stock markets. Well that sounds pretty interesting, got hooked. Who would not, when you are told that you would make profit no matter markets are down or up. He told that iforex.com is a reputable broker and it charges impressive spread of 3 pips. Like brokerage is to stock markets; pips is to forex markets. Well at that time I did not know whether 3 pip is impressive, but later I knew that most of the brokers charge less that 1 pip and they all are reputable and trustworthy. This was not all. To my shock they were charging not even 3 but 5 pip spread which is worst in the industry. So here was there first lie, which could only have become visible after opening account with them. I was lured into opening the accound with them by depositing 500 USD for a start. Now their second lie was about to come up visiblr. What I was told was that on deposit of 500 USD, I will be getting a bonus of 100 dollars which I could after I had done an initial trade of 200000USD, but after opening the account it turned out to be 1000000USD. SO this was their second lie. Well I already had my 500$ with them along with scanned copy of my driving licence which they asked for as identity proof.

Now I started exploring the forex markets on the web, learning about them so that I can make some profits. I was moving cautiously. Now let me write down a few observations about their so called trading platform. It sucks big time--its crappy--even I reported some bugs to them.
Well despite a spread of 5 pip, I started making profit. By profit I mean that the amount on the right top corner on their site was shown increasing. But if I earn 1 dollar I was paying them 5 dollar. Days passed by and I kept on learning about how forex works through internet. There are lot of resources available like babypipis.com. Now I started realising that there is something fishy about iforex.com. And I started complaing of high spreads, no bonuses, no payback--any forex trader will know these terms. They told me that if I deposit 1500 USD more they will reduce my spread to 3 from 5. I was still high on the prospect of earning more and neglected the dangers lurking ahead. So I went ahead depositing 1500 more. By this time I had 2500USD shown in that very right left corner. One thing I forgot to mention- when I deposited this extra 1500 , someone from iforex called me and requested me to tell the call centre that he persuaded me into depositing more money so that he could earn some incentive. This was more fishy, but I still did that.
Now my spread was 3 pip. Well I studied a lot into forex markets and by lot I mean really a lot.
Days passed by, I played the game well.
But right behind my head, there has always been this feeling what if this iforex thing is just a fraud. So I wanted to withdraw my money now. And I expressed it to them. Irritatingly, they asked my ID proof to be sent again. Well now let me tell you what were they upto. They only wanted to delay the process. Though I sent my id proof again I was not able to withdraw money.
They delayed the process and in the meantime they showed, on their platform, that I lost my money in the market. Want to know how?? Well here it is in nutshell-
The truth is that I was not putting my money in the market at all. It was all like a game. Iforex.com was showing me that I was making profits and when I asked to withdraw my money back, they showed that I made a loss. What They did was exersiced their control on their platform to reach the stop loss limits so that I could loose. And When I was making huge profits I was not able to close my deals on their platform. I wondered to myself, if all this exists in an artificial environment. They could control the platform from their side; I have experienced that all by myself. Seriously, I went back and forth with 8 different members of their support team, a new person each time. That was hard earned money. After this experiece of mine I have come to this conclusion that Iforex.com is certainly a scam or a fraud and if it is not a scam, then it is a cheat and liar for sure.

So guys if you are investing in forex markets , do research well before choosing a forex broker

    1. Topic: Iforex Complaints - Not paying profit money as promised by iForex

Here is the latest update that we gather on iforex state of affairs:

      (i) Somebody has already commented that iforex operates from small towns of India. That is true.
(ii) They use internet phones to appear calling from Greece;it is for this reason it is very difficult to call them back ever
(iii) Their Greece address is fake
(iv) Their european help line numbers are fake
      (v) reason is simple they have targets only in poor asian countries where people are greedy for 'get rich quick' schemes
(vi) IFOREX ' parent company FIH(Formula Investment House)was incorporated in British Virgin Island as an online incorporation that can be done against payment of $25 by anybody including you and me;apart from that there is no existence of any company called FIH Ltd. It was incorporated with a fake Switzerland address.
(vii) Using this fake address and identity FIH ltd got IFOREX registered as a trademark in year 2007 from US patents and trademark office. This can be done by hiring any common lawyer for $50 and payment of another $50 for trademark registration. This was what was done done by IFOREX cum FIH Ltd.
(viii) This is the only basis on which iforex says it is a valid entity. It appears to have no other forex trading licence from anybody whatsoever.
(ix) In its trade agreement FIH is shown as the party to agreement but no registered address is given. iforex cleverly gives a Administratice location in Greece which again is a fake address ,in faded ink footnote. All of you those who are interested to withdraw their funds please go to trade agreement and write a hard copy normal mail letter to that address for full refund and see the fate of your letter. You would come to know the real play of iforex.
      (x) I know of several friends who have filed claims running into thousands of dollars against iforex for engaging them in illegal activities without even a proper notice. These sources report that iforex people are not even replying to their cliam messages since last month and a half.
(xi) so please wisen up and take imemdiate action to safeguard your interests from iforex people whose activities others have already detailed.

    5. Xforex is fraud company, Agent Mark from cyprus asked me to pump money several times. For up gradation to premium a/c with deposition of $1000 promised to give $500 Bonus. But never told me that it will be available only after trade of $5 Million & achieve profit of $500 even I asked so many times to clarify on the withdrawal policy.
Agent Mark told initially trade have 3 pip spread & after upgrading to premium a/c it will be 1 pip. But it was 5 pip for normal as well as premium a/c.
Then New premium a/c manager Ali Zakir convinced & promised to get the bonus in 3 days & then I can withdraw my $1000. But he purposely asked me to do the trade which leads to loss of $800 within 5 mins. After that he never turned back , no reply to my mails, no answer to call. Xforex service center not yet took any action for this case & not turned back.
Is there any Governance authority for Forex trades to register a complaint against such a fraudulent company & misguiding agents??
Company should take proper action & return my money as soon as possible.

    6. remember that your loss of $800 also went in pockets of iforex as with iforex there no counterparties ever. These bastards are pocketing all losses of customers.lol

I am holding few positions, but I am very much active in my account. Initially I was not getting this. But as my amount keep on reducing even having a profitable deals, then I noticed that they are cutting my money. No phone support from evening onwards.I suddenly sent a mail, but no reply. Later after 12-14 hrs of time, Mr Ariyal made a call and when I asked about these things, he told our iforex policy has changed, so we are charging some interest every night on holding positions. I told him you are cheating as these things were not there in trading policies and I warned him that these things I will put in every website, so that people come to know these frauds. What I need to do in this situation. Thought of closing the account, but due to holding position, I lose money. Please help me.

    1. Yeah, you're right iforex is a scam just like the jobsinus.us and online-home-jobs.com which advertised typing, data entry, form filling and ad posting jobs with guaranteed monthly salary of $5000 pm but once you ask them for payout, they won't pay you, they won't answer your call and emails and most importantly they would delete your earnings from your salary account. Simply, don't fall victims to these vultures.

  33. How to avoid a scam broker?
    Very simple
    1) choose brokers from world financial centres such as NY, London, HK, Australia or singapore
    2) Make very sure that they are regulated by the regulatory authorities in their contries
    3) Avoid totally brokers operating from off shore islands, from tiny countries with no regulatory bodies and countries from caribbean islands.

  40. Guys ,
Unfortunately i got trapped in iForex scan and lost my hard earned $50.
I became iforex member by investing $50 On 30 Nov 2012, (At first the telemarketing person - Shafran M was insisting me for $100 and finally he agreed to $50) That person told me that at first you will get demo account for practice, if u feel comfortable in that then you can continue in live account. If you dont feel comfortable then you can raise the fund withdrawal request and then u will get full refund of your deposit amount ($50 - Rs2840/-) So i registered and then felt uncomfortable in demo account , so i raised the fund withdrawal request on 6th Dec 2012 . without trading a single dollar in live account. The compliance dept asked me the required doc for refund - so i submitted Passport as foto id, Electricity bill as residence proof, and card’s scan copy by which i made payment - both sides with certain digits and cvv conceled. Then they told me that it will take 10 working days to receive ur amount. But still i have not received a single penny. My account manager (Dinesh K) is not responding to the mails. I also called their toll free no. 0008001-007970 for India at least 3-4 times but they just took my Account no. and told me that " We will get back to u soon" but all is in vein. Every time different person attends the phone on this number and if we ask his name , every person told his name as "Shawn" which clearly states that these are fraud people. Also before depositing $50 i asked to Shaftran M - Telemarketing perosn- about exchange rate . He told me 54Rs/Dollar but actually he deducted with Rs56/Dollar.
Now i have planned to register the compliant at Cyber Crime Branch and by heart wish that no one should get trapped in their fraud company. So investing my time to write this compliant here. Again i will reiterate that " DO NOT GET TRAPPED IN THIS SCAM"
I have all the mails of correspondence with them and my bank account statement as a proof of their fraud.

    1. Hello Vikky. Thanks for taking time to write this blog. It gives awareness to all of us. I'm about to invest a $100 dollar with iforex. They've been calling me two times. The first time they called me, the representative was convincing me to deposit the amount on the spot. I told him that I need to make personal research about this since I don't have any idea about currency trading. I asked how legit this company and of course he told me that they are affiliated with SEC. I'm not sure if this is true either. Although, I am very interested about this kind of business I won't jeopardize my hard earned money. No, no, no! Thanks God, He's given me wisdom to search about iforex before investing any cents. Many thanks to you Vikky.

  62. iforex is a big scam and is run by a few youngsters from locations like Greece,Ukraine,Russia and USA. They do not even have a permanent mailing address posted on their website. This is a gross violation of the law of any jurisdiction and even tax havens like British Virgin Islands. Their employees are ill trained and have poor communications. Most of them speak with pathetic south India English accents and are discourteous to customers. Many have reported that they manipulate market data as it streams in so as to grab deposits of unwary customers. All those who are shown on internet to be earning $1000s and more per month over their regular incomes are fraudulent claims and pictures posted are simply models to lure innocent public. You may loose your entire deposit if you deposit it with them within a week's time. Their website indicates no names of owners of the website or responsible officials this is also a violation of law of any jurisdiction even if it is a tax haven. Employees are so very out of control that frontline employees are able to hide messages and hoodwink complaints made against them from supervisors. All of their new deals are delayed to give you worst rates and they usually result in large losses. Their employees give you advise like'never place a loss limit as there is no need'. i would like to know how much money you have lost in this website and how much money won has been forced out of users hands by this website through one or the other lame pleas. their supervisors are piece of shits and common village bumpkins kind of persons who are insensitive to customer needs. In case of one of my friend he had large exposures in covering deals and wanted to deposit funds their system was manipulated by their employees so that he could not deposit funds ;this was done so that he looses his entire deposit-this was most probably done by an employee against whom a complaint had been lodged by my friend. this friend had lodged an interpol and local police FIR against the concerned employee and supervisor of iforex with financial claims running into thousands of dollars. I would strongly advice you to avoid fraudsters like iforex at all costs.

And do not think you are trading in forex market when you deal on their platform-you are in fact, trading with manipulated market data, they would allow you to win few deals and this way you would deposit more then you go for big deals they would manipulate data in the middle of the deals so that you loose. Their aim is to grab the whole deposit from you because it all goes in their pockets. they are financial criminals and we need to WARN everybody not to deposit any money with them and withdraw whatever they have NOW. Please spread the word as far as possible.

I asked to give a single person name and contact details to satisfy myself, they are unable to provide. They say that they can't disclose the identity of their customers.

I was ready to deposit the amount, but my younger son stopped me & saved my money.
I ask them, wheather they have any office in India or not. Firstly they told that office is located in Delhi, but they can't provide the address. That office is only for paper work.
2nd time, when I ask the same question, they told that they have their office in Mumbai. Is there any one who has earn online i.e. work from home, Housewives can earn 1400 USD, why not you. So please guide me if someone has good knowledge about online work to earn money genuinely.

    4. Yes this is right if they are not scams whyc can't their CEO come out here with their PR and legal department. Identify themselves with their complete contact information and defend each of these points. It is not that these poor criminal bastards are not monitoring these complaints;they are doing so on real time basis-but they cannot defend a single point. This website has been in severe cheating complaints ever since it began work. I have seen an earlier complaint board where some identified official came from iforex and tried to bully complainants. He was immediately cornered by a flood of complaints and he ran away after single comment of defense. Now they are scared stiff as even offering such services to Indians is a crime punishable under economic offences category. These people can be booked for financing terrorism and money laundering activities also. I am of the view that all people who have a complaint against iforex join hands here so that such gross criminals can be stopped. Imagine they are operating their website for Indians ,with little bother about law, with great impunity even today. Please come forward to file your claims. Just money lost and email would do.

    5. Ps: Importantly in the above complaint board mentioned by me..one of their ex employees revealed how iforex was manipulating price data and blatantly cheating customers driving them to stop loss positions and then gulping their whole deposits off. These useless bunch of scoundrels have no scruples and they are frauds. Someone above has made a good suggestion. Go to their trading aggreement. Check the FIH address of Greece and mail them a written notice of withdrawal of your funds today and perhaps you would find your letter returned undelivered. try that it may cost another Rs.50.

  91. well, after reading everything in this blog, both good and bad - I must say that I am no longer comfortable doing fx trading with iForex simply because it has so many negative feedbacks.

why it has so many ads all around, well, it might be true that they are legal in some way. Again, I am not sure.

I am not saying that anyone here is right or wrong. We are all entitled to our own opinions and experiences.

I am just glad I made my research before I actually invested $100 to them. I like to explore forex trading. I believe given sufficient knowledge it will be a rewarding investment vehicle. But again, key word is knowledge.

Then also, the next prudent tip on investment, is to research the company you are dealing with. Know the credentials it claims for itself. Search the web for others opinions about it.

This is not the only site where negativity reeks about iForex. A Google search of iForex reviews reveals mostly negative stuff.

Likewise, the absence of iForex in defending their credentials speaks volumes already. How come they can spend a lot for web banners and ads but not spend on some PR and address the negative reviews. If it is done as negative publicity by competitors then why not address it?

Likewise, the lack of regulations and credentials in their site is fishy too.

For me, I will consider ironFX, another online trading site I came across with. I have yet to research on reviews about it but I can see from their site that they publish all their regulations and licenses and the addresses of all their offices. Although the site appears intimidating because of all the content I think it is more legit.

Good luck everyone! Forex trading is a good investment but only if you are armed with sufficient knowledge.

Thank you also for the author of this blog post and everyone who took the time to write in the comments and help others prevent losing $100.

  101. They almost got me there. I saw an ad while on the internet and was interested. I filled up some info and validated my account. After a couple of days someone called me and told me she's from iforex and explained the platform. Then she asked me to deposit 100usd so we can start the training. The training platform is just a demo.. I told her that I dont want to use my credit card cuz I applied for a loan and the credit card rep told me not to use the card until I made the first payment. She asked if I have another card. I have a debit card and told her that Im not sure if it has enough cash in it (It has cash on it but I was not yet ready to invest). She insisted I try. (by this time I had a feeling something was off) I had another debit card that I know doesnt have any money in it and used that to fill the card number, the transfer also needed the number at the back of the card (this is the first time I paid attention to that three digit number). It failed (She was the one who told me it failed. I guess because she has a faster internet connection, I was just using mobile. By the way she told me earlier that she can see what Im seeing on the screen the moment I logged in). She asked when can she call me again because there is something that will happen in the market after a week that will cause a lot of movements in the currency and help me make a lot of money. She wants to call me back 3 days before that day so she can prepare me. I said ok.
She called me again, same person, that was a tuesday. I told her Im low on cash right now and will be busy on the following days so maybe she can call me a month later.
After a week while having dinner, I overheard on the tvnews that Iforex was raided. I did not get the details really. I just went online and saw this blog.
Texted the number of the person that was supposed to be my trainer and told her to remove my account from iforex and dont call me anymore.

I felt stupid for almost falling for that. Yes, I should have checked first. That was really careless of me.
Thanks for this blog and the detailed comments.

  114. The photographs of some 'Pathan' beaming and prmising you $5000 monthly income are still popping on internet websites. These bastards are FRAUDS and financial criminals. These people have looted everything from each customer they ever had and all victims should file a police complaint. Who after all are these scoundrels who can continue cheating on website almost forever. No criminal ever escapes for so long and how they have survived so far. Please be brave and come forward with your losses in increasing numbers.

  115. Please be assured that these are small time bumpkins-who are middle class and lower middle class blokes-their organizers are also lower middle class leftist people who have no significant contact or clout anywhere except sharing monies looted from us all. We must clamp down and expose all these rogues immediately

  116. I recollect from this website or other website that their trademark iforex is registered with USPTO-United States Patents & Trade mark Organization with a fraud and fake Switzerland address. Anybody can check that in minutes by querying iforex trademark and then you could query swiss postal authorities as to who occupies the address claimed by iforex.com as its own. You would know it is a mall and commercial shop of an entirely different name,

  117. it is not their parent or holding company FIH ltd...which anyways is a paper company incorporated in British Virgin Islands for $25 to $50- so you see the reality behind the reputable group of bankers who run www.iforex.com

    ReplyDelete
  118. lol this paper company FIH ltd is mentioned in all www.iforex.com trade contracts with you..and with no address...lol you are dealing with a paper company now for over 15 years...hahhaah...what select scoundrels how they made fool out of thousands for so long........

    ReplyDelete
  119. One of friends have done the iforex trademark verification and cross checked the registered address with Swiss postal authorities and he was shocked to see that iforex(rather FIH ltd) was fraudulently claiming somebody's address as its own and shock of shocks USPTO accepted it all...through fast lawyers obviously who bribed their way in

  120. I lost 200 USD. I was late to realize this fraudsters... but thanks to this blog i realised it atleast now. I also had a strage experience of my deals getting closed on their own without my intervention and at loss. Closing deals whenever they want for no reason. I still have about 60 dollars in the trading. but i see no chance of getting it back.

  121. Imagine how much money these bastards and scoundrels would have made by now. Even if they dupe 100000 clients of an average $100 per year they make clean killing of one million dollars each year. These 'group of bankers' aka group of fraudsters claim that they are in this business aka known as fraudulently looting since last twenty years- which means they have made so far $20 million from public money. Al of these should be arrested by interpol and police authorities of respective countries and all of their bank accounts and residences where they stash cash should be frozen/seized and money distributed to poor public from where these bastards looted it-come forward in this campaign..these scoundrels have already been raided in malaysia

  124. Before depositing money with iforex i get call from iforex several times but after depositing money not a single call and mails are received and there employee tells me to purchase one commodity with wrong information.I think stay away from iforex if you want to save your money because iforex is monitored by ingenuine persons in starting if they give profits it doesnot means they are correct. This is starting to get more engaged with iforex and preparing for heavy losses.Iforex is running with fraudulent practices just to attract customer by giving heavy returns dreams and theft there money.Millions of personnels looking to join should stay away because this is a scam runs by unknown persons.

Donot faith on saying of iforex employees because they are just thefting money of persons by giving wrong information. This is required to be banned and indian are required to be saved from such biggest scandal and loss of money.Indian government should take serious action to block the account of iforex so genuine indians can be saved from such scam. This can create a great panic for indians.

In starting you will think you are gaining. But thats the only trailer they doesnot give anything to you. They are all liers I had joined iforex to gain knowledge of forex market as per highlighting at there site regarding 7 day trial. But no training is provided. On first day of joining iforex I lost my whole money in commodity purchased as per the instruction of the person who joined me.And in same day without any trading my account balance get zero.

Now they are saying do such thing and that thing.

I just like to save millions of persons from iforex. Please stay away otherwise you will also blame yourself like I am suffering. This is a scam create by the person working in iforex.

Thereafter the person of iforex who is a lady give me offer to submit id's then we will give $100 for trading.I just ask her to give such thing in writing with the authorization of controlling officer they cut the call.Because donot have any faith on them what they are saying is correct or not.

Secondly : they will waste their own time and cannot fool other people.

Day before yesterday i ate up 1 hour 30 mins of their time. hahah that was an interesting convo. i am going to write a blog for that convo..... :P

    1. A quick update. I had to sign a withdrawal request, then send a copy of my ID and proof of address. I received a phone call and an email confirming:

This is an automatic e-mail confirming that your withdrawal request was approved. The amount was transferred to your bank account or refunded to your credit card.

I'll update this once I receive the payment in my bank account. So far so good!

    2. Well got the payment in my bank account today. They took off $20 as a processing fee but I got $560 into my account. The payment came from a bank in the UK. I was very worried after reading all these comments but iForex seems to be ok with withdrawing from my experience.

The only thing that put me off and why I withdrew all my money was that their system closed trades because of my stop losses, but checking their charts, my trades never hit those levels and the stops should not have triggered at all. It seems a bit underhanded especially when some of those trades could have had good runs. I'm going to move to FXCM. They are a highly recommended brokerage and have better speads/pricing. iForex is quite expensive with their quotes. Makes it more risky.

Anyway that is my advice and experience, wish you all well with your forex trading!
